Kindness at Grocery Stores

Monday, November 13th is World Kindness Day which is my favourite day of the year. It’s a day to be extra kind to people, animals and the environment.

Leading up to World Kindness Day I am going to share some ideas of different ways to be kind throughout the community.

Kindness at Grocery Stores:

Kindness in Grocery Stores

  • Leave money at the self-checkout
  • Give up your place in line for another person
  • Pay for someone’s groceries
  • Buy a bag of groceries for a person in need
  • Donate groceries to the food bank
  • Leave a coin in the shopping cart for the next person
  • Help someone reach for something off the top shelf
  • Acknowledge the cashier who’s helping you
  • Use re-usable shopping bags
  • If someone is short on cash in line, pay the difference
  • Take back someone’s shopping cart for them
  • Help carry someone’s groceries
  • Cut coupons out and leave them on the product
  • Tape money to a product to pay for it for someone
  • Give away your parking space
  • Return your shopping cart
  • Smile at people in the store
