Monday, November 13th is World Kindness Day which is my favourite day of the year. It’s a day to be extra kind to people, animals and the environment.
Leading up to World Kindness Day I am going to share some ideas of different ways to be kind throughout the community.
Kindness at Grocery Stores:
- Leave money at the self-checkout
- Give up your place in line for another person
- Pay for someone’s groceries
- Buy a bag of groceries for a person in need
- Donate groceries to the food bank
- Leave a coin in the shopping cart for the next person
- Help someone reach for something off the top shelf
- Acknowledge the cashier who’s helping you
- Use re-usable shopping bags
- If someone is short on cash in line, pay the difference
- Take back someone’s shopping cart for them
- Help carry someone’s groceries
- Cut coupons out and leave them on the product
- Tape money to a product to pay for it for someone
- Give away your parking space
- Return your shopping cart
- Smile at people in the store
